"I was so blessed to receive a call from Shani when I was matched with her to receive her Doula services. From that day forward my pregnancy experience took a shift to the best direction possible. I have hypertension and my daughter Ella had fetal growth restriction so to say I was worried was an understatement and Shani through her vast knowledge and experience guided me patiently through all my concerns from the day we got in touch. She always replied to every text and every phone call and never ceased to be a fountain of accurate and useful information. Throughout our prenatal visits at my home she brought the necessary tools to teach, coach and EMPOWER me to have the most amazing birthing experience possible. I learned so much and received countless materials through her that I could study and feel prepared enough to walk through one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Since my pregnancy was high-risk I had to be induced at 38 weeks and my beautiful birth story began. I had to have several induction methods to kickstart my labor and she was there with me the entire time to guide, inform and just make the environment every exactly how I wanted it down to every detail especially the way I needed to breathe which is so essential. LED candles and oil diffusers that I forgot to bring she had on deck and made sure she was on top of all of it. Down to every single detail of my birth had her special touch. I cannot thank her enough! She helped me bring my beautiful baby Ella into this world and something like that I will be forever grateful to her. Even postpartum while navigating through difficulties with breastfeeding and PP Depression she continuously helps educate me so I can be 100% present not just for my daughter but for myself. Not only did I have an amazing doula I'm certain I have a great friend for life.
Saying that I recommend her services would be an understatement. I wish I had the means to let every pregnant woman know that they definitely need not just any doula but Shani specifically in the pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey so that you can be your best self for you and your little one.
